Game 1
HATTIESBURG, MS --The Jacksonville Volleyball team fought back after dropping set one to secure a 3-1 win (23-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-23) over the Southern Lady Jaguars Friday at the Southern Miss Wellness Center.
The season-opening victory was Head Coach Alicia Roth's first career win as Division 1 head coach and her first win as the head coach of the Dolphins.

The Dolphins were led by a double-double from Jamie Seward, who registered 18 kills and 13 digs on the day. Madison Clark also added 10 kills to help on the attack. On the defensive end, freshman Ana Tobar chipped in for with 16 digs to go with four blocks from Clark.
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Dolphins went back-and-forth with the Lady Jags, losing 25-23 in a set that featured four lead changes and was tied 10 times. Neither team led by more than four points in the set.
SET 2 | Jacksonville responded to pick up a 25-20 victory in the second set, evening the match at one set apiece. The Dolphins took control of the set lead early on at 3-2 and held the lead the rest of the way. Jacksonville led by as many as six points at 24-18 before closing out the set.
SET 3 | Jacksonville went up 2-1 after defeating the Lady Jags in the third set. The Dolphins won the set 25-17 powered by a strong performance on the attacking end. Jacksonville registered a .462 attack percentage with 16 kills in the set win.
SET 4 | Jacksonville claimed the match win with a 25-23 fourth-set victory, winning their third straight set. A fantastic serving effort that included five aces, helped Jacksonville pick up the victory. The lead changed hands only one time, but the Dolphins took control for good at 18-17 and rode that advantage to victory.

Game 2
HATTIESBURG, MS -- The Jacksonville Volleyball Team fell to the Southern Miss Lady Eagles in three sets (23-25, 23-25, 22-25) Friday night on the road at the Southern MissWellness Center.
Cami Kelsay finished with 10 kills on the day to lead the Dolphins offense. Defensively, had three players reach double figures in digs, including Sofia Rampazzo's 13, 12 from Ana Tobar, and 10 more from Emily Hodsdon.
How It Happened
SET 1 | The Dolphins fell behind early, losing a nail-biter first set 25-23. Southern Miss grabbed the advantage for good at 22-21 in a set that was tied seven times before the Lady Eagles took over in the second half of the set

SET 2 | Jacksonville dropped set two 25-23, digging a 2-0 hole in the match. The Dolphins couldn't hang on in a back-and-forth set, losing in a set that featured seven lead changes and was tied 17 times. Neither team led by more than four points along the way.
SET 3 | Jacksonville couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Dolphins came up short by the score of 25-22. Southern Miss grabbed the advantage for good at 23-22 in a set that was tied up four times before the Lady Eagles took over in the second half of the set.
