Everywhere I go i hear mixed signals for the franchise. I've heard two definite positive things, like how it got number 1 on the 3DS' February library and how it got 5 stars and number 1 on the Eshop. But other things have been mixed signals. Like how it's possibly facing cancellation in america due to Disney XD removing it from it's schedule. I just can't get a good idea of the franchise's position in the west, I can barely get definite answers for what's going on.

Eshop reviews aren't the most reliable btw. Also Yo-kai Watch is moving to Animax to continue the series as a sub. And the reason the series isn't doing so well is mostly because of salty Pokemon fans calling it a rip-off and people not willing to give the series a chance and the lack of merch support including everything going on clearance everywhere and Hasbro also butchering the toys with some Watch functions being removed and the Yo-motion ruining Medal artworks and the removal of Yo-kai names on the medals.
the Animax sub i only heard would be for shadowside and would only air in East Asia(I could be wrong) as for North America I hear that people will be able to stream the anime via their Disney plus streaming service, So I doubt this means cancellation of the series in the west. I'm trying to get a picture of the franchise's position now, in 2019. Because the salty pokemon fanboys are now but a vocal minority and Hasbro has completely dropped the franchise in europe and north america.
Well, they are also gonna air the rest of Season 3 as a Duband I remember the listing saying it would air April 24th of this year and the Dub for the first 2 seasons + the first 26 Season 3 episodes is what is streamable on Disney +, but I'm not saying that Level 5 is completely done with Disney because they're airing Inazuma Eleven Ares, I'm just saying mayhaps they switched to Animax because of the fact that Yo-kai Watch Shadowside might falter even more in comparison to the OG series because it's not necessarily for kids and Disney makes shows for kids (some exceptions just being only adult related jokes like in Gravity Falls) but SS is very dark even if it is aimed at both kids, teens and adults. Yo-kai Watchmostly just has a cult following as well. The reason I mentioned the Pokemon fanboy stuff was because they were a huge part ofYo-kai Watch never getting to rise as a franchise in the US.

I see, so who's airing the rest of season 3 as a dub? Animax or Disney XD? BTW if you check wikipedia on Yokai Watch it does state that Nintendo is continuing the games of Yokai Watch but Disney XD has cancelled production of the dub.

There is gonna be no Season 3 Dub, Animax is in the production of a Sub for the rest of Season 3 and Shadowside

Ah, alright. Also BTW to keep with the whole western thing. what are your thoughts on the wikipedia page saying DXD cancelled the anime, because the twitter page still says they associate with each other as well as their streaming service. For all we know it could be a troll, plus since the wiki says nintendo is continuing production of the 3DS games in North America, it seems odd they'd do that without the anime to promote it. I'd honestly rather wait for official word on the matter before making any judgement.

Animax put on their schedule that they're airing Yo-kai Watch on April 24th of this year and I think they switched because they didn't want to air Shadowside on Disney XD because little kids would be potentially scared. Other than that IDK V'-'V

Perhaps the new episodes are going to be on Disney+ and On Demand only from now on. This is like what they did with the final season of The Lion Guard, on Disney Jr, expect for the Disney+ thing since it isn't out yet. They uploaded the episodes to their website and On Demand on cable got them too.
